Hi,
I hope you are well. Today, I want to recommend two easy reads to get your through the next week.
Tata v. Mistry - the battle for India’s greatest empire, by Deepali Gupta
Deepali Gupta condenses the story which gripped Indian corporate news stories for the better part of the previous decade tracing Mistry’s appointment as heir apparent, his ignominious exit, and the consequent disputes which overfilled the coffers of Indian lawyers. For laypersons interested in Indian business or law interns deputed to summarising the history of the dispute through the NCLT, NCLAT, and the SC, this tells the story of the dispute, the dramatic personae, and how the quest to save your glory can have massive ramifications for everyone.
The Complete Maus, by Art Spiegelman
I am not a comics person but anyone interested in storytelling, the Holocaust, and human emotions must read this. Art puts into words and pictures the stories of his parents who survived the holocaust depicting their times in a world where humans are cats, dogs, and rats.
Looking forward to writing to you tomorrow.
